On 6 May 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00 (EEST), join us in person or online for the SHIFT-HUB Open Innovation Day in Bucharest, organised by SHIFT-HUB partners COPAC (Coalition of Patients Organizations with Chronic Diseases) and BEIA, in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest, UEFSCIDI – UNITE project and Iceberg+.
This full-day event will gather key stakeholders from the digital health innovation ecosystem to explore solutions, co-create ideas, and highlight the potential of Smart Health technologies across Europe.
What is the SHIFT-HUB Innovation Day About?
The event offers a unique opportunity to engage with emerging digital health innovators, reflect on national and European challenges, and explore real-world applications of health technologies through interactive sessions.
What to expect:
1. Start-up Pitch Session Kick-Off
This session marks the launch of the SHIFT-HUB Pitch Program. Ten selected startups will pitch their Smart Health and Digital Health solutions in front of a jury, receiving feedback to help align their business models with investor expectations. This process will continue through follow-up support and monitoring, culminating in a Demo Day in October 2025.

2. UNITE – SHIFT-HUB Workshop: Exploring Innovation Challenges in Health
This session will address the key barriers and opportunities in the Romanian health innovation ecosystem, including infrastructure, talent retention, and policy development. Input from participants will contribute to shaping future actions in the framework of the UNITE initiative.
3. Living Lab – Simultaneous Demonstrations
In the afternoon, participants will experience hands-on demonstrations of digital health solutions in real-life settings. Startups will engage directly with end-users — including healthcare professionals and patients — to test their innovations, receive immediate feedback, and validate the potential impact of their technologies.
